
CAMDEN JAMES WALKER
James E. Walker, age 90, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 23, 2021 in an Atlanta, Texas, hospital.
James was born May 24, 1930, in Princeton, Arkansas, to Horace and Mamie Sorrells Walker. He was retired from International Paper Company; and was a member of Thomas Street Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, gardening, hog hunting and he especially enjoyed deer hunting. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viaud Walker; son, Edward Delane Walker; and his
parents.
He is survived by his son, Robert Walker and wife Danielle of Laurinburg, North Carolina; daughter, Wanda Walker Woods of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughter-in-law, Sue Walker of Camden, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Heather Rivera and husband Freddie of Leesburg, Virginia, Brad Walker and wife Wendy of Fort Worth, Texas, Toni Walker and husband Danny of Daingerfield, Texas, Dustin Woods and wife Tiffany of Longmont, Colorado, Ryne Woods and wife Amber of Midlothian, Texas; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and his fur baby,
“Gojo”.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
A celebration memorial service will be at a later date.
Those wishing to memorialize James may make contributions to Thomas Street Baptist Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
