Fairview Events Center announces art camps for summer

The Fairview Event Center will have a busy summer as it will host two camps in June and July.

Arts in the Park camp will be held from June 21-24 and “Story Theater on State ‘37” will be from July 12-16.

Artist and metalsmith Ashley Kriehn will serve as the Camden Director for Arts in the park. The event will be for ages 3-6 from 9-11:30 a.m. daily and from 1-3:30 p.m. for ages 7-12. The cost is $35 per child.

According to a news release, Arts in the park will explore print making, portraiture, collage and abstract art techniques guided through age appropriate projects. The camp will end with an open house at 6 p.m. on June 24.

Professional actor and AR Arts Council Artist on Tour director Shelton Harden will serve as the camp director for Story Theater on Stage 37.

The camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon for 4th - 6th grade and from 1-4 p.m. for 7th - 9th grade. The cost is $50 for each child.
