OCMC reopens cafeteria to the public

Ouachita County Medical Center has released the following public service announcement on the reopening of Cafe 52:

We are pleased to announce that Cafe 52 is now open to the public for breakfast and lunch. Those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may dine in. A. non- vaccinated person who is staying with a patient may get a meal in the cafeteria but it must be a take- out meal.

As a healthcare facility, we have been, and still are, on the forefront of the COVID-19 battle and are making every effort to take the necessary steps to help protect our patients, employees and community from contracting COVID-19 and to help contain the spread of COVID-19; therefore, we respectfully ask that you honor these guidelines.

We’ve missed having the cafeteria open to the public and look forward to seeing you again!

As a reminder, even though the mask mandate has been lifted for most settings it has not been lifted for hospitals. You will be required to wear a mask at all times while in the hospital except while you are eating. Please be respectful of this requirement.

Please enter through the Main Lobby and stop at the Information Desk to obtain a “Screening Pass” in order to go to the cafeteria. Your temperature will be checked and you must present your vaccination card in order to receive a pass to the cafeteria.

If you have not been vaccinated, OCMC has a regularly scheduled Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic. Please call 870-836-5015 for more details. We encourage you to get your vaccination. And remember, those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may dine- in at the cafeteria.

Thank you for your on-going support and for understanding that as a hospital we function under more stringent guidelines than many other businesses. We’ve missed having the cafeteria open to the public and look forward to seeing you again! Enjoy your meal and welcome back!
