Area underclassmen make All State team

The future of varsity baseball and softball looks bright for Ouachita County as several student athletes were announced to the All State team.

Camden Fairview sophomore Carson McKinney was named to the 4A All State Baseball team while sophomores Arianna Frazier and Haylee Monden were named to the 4A All State Softball Team. For Harmony Grove, it was freshman Caleb Johnson and junior Brad Launius that received 3 All State accolades.

Harmony Grove also landed four underclassmen on the 3A-All Conference team - Braden Brown, Lane Davis, Gabe Johnson and Andrew Taylor.

CF’s Karmen Johnson, Tamia Dandridge, Julia Milner, Alexis Chaves and Emily Robertson joined Monden and Frazier on the 4A District 8 All Conference team.

All Conference for the Camden Fairview baseball team are McKinney, Gunner Branch, Logan Robertson, Tripp O’Hara, Reshard Clardy, Jeffery Neal and Martavius Thomas.

Xtra Innings Arkansas Baseball

Two area student athletes were selected to participate in the 17th Annual Xtra Innings Summer Classic. CF’s Martavious Thomas and Harmony Grove’s Brad Launius.

The games will be held June 7 and 8 at Arkansas Sate University.
