The South Arkansas Arts Center is inviting the community to join Assistant Executive Director John Lowery as he leads Corks and Canvas night next week.
"I want to bring some Christmas joy and fun to the season," said Lowery, whose class is called "Rock Around the Christmas Tree." "We will be painting a three-dimensional Christmas tree design, which I will have prepped and ready for you to paint on an eight-by-eight canvas. It will, no doubt, be as much fun as last year's class!"
From the seasoned painter to the newbie, this class has something for everyone. Corks and Canvas is an art class for non-artists who have always wanted to paint, but artists with all levels of experience will have a fun and festive evening. Each class is conducted by a different art instructor who takes the class through the step-by-step process to complete a work of art in two hours.
The class will be available on two nights -- Tuesday, Nov. 16, and Thursday, Nov. 18, both at 6 p.m.
The $40 prepaid fee covers all supplies and snacks. Those taking the class should bring their favorite libation and get ready to have a good time.
