Camden, AR - The City of Camden is proud to announce its 2021 Christmas Season with this year's theme of "Gingerbread Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses." Whether it's strolling through Christmas display, browsing all the decorations, or participating in one of the many events, Camden has something to do for you and your family this Holiday season.
Enjoy the many Christmas displays and various Photo ops around downtown. Drop your letters off at Santa's special mailbox at the corner of Washington & Adams. Take a ride through downtown on the Christmas Train, view all the entries from the Gingerbread house competition, join in the hunt for Camden's Elf, and much more!
We will move forward to Thanksgiving weekend. After you have had all the family gatherings and watched a full slate of football, join us downtown for 2 very special events. Saturday, November 27 from 6PM – 7:30PM you can enjoy an outdoor concert with The Arkansas Brass. This quintet is comprised of members of the Arkansas Symphony and South Arkansas Symphony. Streets will be closed with tables and chairs set up for your outdoor dining as you take in the wonderful sounds of Christmas songs as well as other familiar tunes. This is a free concert thanks to grants provided by the Ouachita Valley Community Foundation and the Arts on Tour Grant.
On the same evening at 6:30PM is the Dickens of a Dinner at Postmaster's Grill (133 W Washington). Don't miss this delightfully themed dinner with your wait staff and chef dressed in the time period of "Scrooge". Special visitors will make sure you have a great evening of entertainment. Enjoy a 3-course feast fit for Fizziwig himself including figgy pudding for dessert and a special Christmas drink with each course. Attendees are welcome to come dressed in period clothing. This dinner is a benefit for the Ouachita County Historical Society. Tickets are $50.00 each or carry out (food only) $25.00 each. Due to the special menu this is a reservation only event.
