Green Friday at Logoly State Park

Why spend the day after Thanksgiving stuck in crowded stores and long lines when you could spend it outside at Logoly State Park?

On Friday Nov. 26, celebrate Green Friday, a family-friendly alternative to Black Friday, with Arkansas State Parks. Explore the interactive exhibits at the visitor center, spend some time out on the trails, or just enjoy a picnic. This is a perfect time to get outside and make memories, whether by yourself or with family and friends.

The visitor center is open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and the trails are available from sunrise to sunset. For more information, contact the park at (870) 695-3561. Logoly State Park is in McNeil, six miles north of Magnolia.

It was established as a state park in 1974 and was created as Arkansas' first environmental education park and covers 368 acres. It serves as both a State Park and a Natural Area.

The Logoly State Park visitor center is filled with interactive exhibits. Guests can learn about this unique place through sight, sound, touch, and smell. The visitor center is LEED certified and uses a variety of environmentally friendly technologies, such as geothermal heating and rainwater collection.

In addition to the visitor center there is a playground, pavilion, picnic area, and multiple trails for guests to enjoy. The park is open from sunrise to sunset.
