Special to the Camden News

WoodmenLife members in Camden recently completed a beautification project as part of the organization's Giving Together program. The chapter chose to enhance the appearance of the main park entrance to Sandy Beach Park in Camden.

For this project, Sales Representative Marc Harris recruited volunteers from the community and gathered necessary supplies, like shovels, mulch, gloves and paint. The group trimmed and manicured plants, removed some invasive plants, added mulch and repainted the park entrance sign.

"WoodmenLife was built on a commitment to family, community and country, and Giving Together expands that foundation into a wider area," said Harris. "We are so pleased with how the project turned out and are excited to continue Giving Together in more areas of our town."

WoodmenLife was founded in 1890 as a nonprofit organization that gives back to its members across the country.
