Patricia Bateman

Patricia (Pat) Ruth Carter Bateman, 81, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord October 13, 2021. She was born September 2, 1940 in Oak Grove, Louisiana to William Ivy and Mary Jane Carter.

Pat moved from Oak Grove, Louisiana to Crossett, Arkansas when she was 12 and this is where she finished her education.

She loved the outdoors and had several hobbies. She spent a lot of her time on the golf course, and she also enjoyed bowling, fishing and doing crafts, especially with her children.

Pat was a deep loving, compassionate and caring person who inspired others with her kindness and strength.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Bobbye Oswalt and Dee Carter.

Pat is survived by her loving husband Van (Butch) Bateman, her daughters Vicki McClain, Pamela Freeland, Donna Coffey and stepdaughter Deana Bailey along with her beloved grandchildren Holly McDonald, Brittney Perry, Alex Bailey, Drake Bailey, Michala Binns and Trista Coffey. She is also survived by her adored great-grandchildren Brae Perry, Zachary Womack, Aubrey Perry, Trysten Coffey and PJ Binns along with numerous other family members and friends that cherished her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Pat's name to Main Street El Dorado, 101 W Main Suite 410, El Dorado, AR 71730 or www.mainstreeteldorado.org.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10 am in the chapel of Roller Chenal Funeral Home with the funeral starting at 11 am.

Robert Kelley

Robert Fulton Kelley, 92 of Louann died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Courtyard Health and Rehab in El Dorado.

Born May 16, 1929 in Lapile, Arkansas he was the son of Elmer Kelley and Ora Sullivant. Mr. Kelley had been employed by Lewis Sporting Goods in El Dorado for many years. He had served his country in the U. S. Army, receiving a Purple Heart during his tenure. He was member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Camden, AR. Where he was involved with the Good Samaritan Food Pantry.

Preceding him in death along with his parents was his wife, Lenora Sue Kelley, a son, Terry Kelley and a sister, Maurice Moore.

He is survived by his son David Kelley of Louann, Arkansas.

There will be a memorial service announced at a later date.

Deborah Seaton

Deborah "Debby" Allyn Seaton, 70, of Fayetteville died October 2, 2021 at Northwest Medical Center, Springdale, AR.

She was born in Camden, AR with her twin sister, Becky Seaton on November 30, 1950. She graduated from Fairview High School in Camden. She attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR and graduated with an Associate Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting from Southern Arkansas University-Tech in Camden, AR. She was a dedicated employee ofGeneral Dynamics in Camden, AR for over 20 years. She also worked at El Dorado Chemical in El Dorado, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Seaton of Camden, AR and twin sister, Rebekah "Becky" Lynn Seaton of Fayetteville, AR. Survivors include her brother Philip Seaton (Glenda) of Camden, AR; sister Sue Crouch (John) of Bethel Island, CA; niece Sara Seaton Howard (Paul) of Cabot, AR; niece Amy Seaton Garner (Seth Vinson) of El Dorado, AR; great nieces, Seaton (Cody) Bonar of Peoria, AZ, Ryleigh Howard of Cabot, AR; great nephews, Jackson Leach, Gavin Leach, and Landon Vinson of El Dorado, AR, Preston Howard of Cabot, AR, and Kannon Leach (Cameron) of Springdale, AR; as well as countless, loyal friends who mourn her passing and will truly miss her hearty laughter, and outspoken personality. To truly know her was to love her. She was lovingly referred to as "Thumper" to those who knew her best. She had a great passion for art, music, and animals; as well as, peace and love of the human race.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Debby's life Saturday, October 23, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at The Events Center at Fairview Park (old Fairview High School Gymnasium), 2708 Mt. Holly Road, Camden, AR.

Joanne McGaughy

Joanne Durham McGaughy, 90, died October 16, 2021 at Life Touch Hospice House in El Dorado, AR. She was born November 20, 1930 in Houston, TX to Ralph H. and Annie Lynn Fulton Durham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Verne McGaughy; a son, Joe Michael McGaughy and two brothers, Ralph Lawson Durham, Jr. and James Ray Durham.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Ken McGaughy and his wife Holly of Prairie Grove, AR, her daughter Terri McDaniel and her husband Ron of El Dorado, AR; four grandchildren, Lea Harris and husband Chad, Breanna Whitener and husband Jonathon, Myra Hollingsworth and husband Seth, and Ross McDaniel; great-grandchildren Deacon Whitener and Finn Harris; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. Clyde and Sue Berry, and a sister-in-law, Joy Durham, as well as special family friends George and Barbara Lowery.

Due to her father's occupation as a driller in the oil fields, she spent most of her early years moving from oil field to oil field. Upon her family's move to the Buena Vista Arkansas community, one of her classmates, Mary Frances McGaughy, suggested to her brother Verne that he might enjoy meeting the new girl in town. When he dropped by unannounced, she was in a tree reading a book. They were married for the next 46 years until his death in 1992. During these years they lived in Camden, Buena Vista, and Smackover. Although her career was brief, she worked as a dental assistant in Camden for both Dr. Savers and Dr. Flynt and in Smackover as the church secretary for Smackover United Methodist Church where she was a member and sang in the choir. She was also a long-time member of Buena Vista United Methodist Church and, most recently, St. Paul United Methodist Church in El Dorado. She was a proud member of the United Methodist Women and held various offices through the years. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Ladies Auxiliary at Ouachita County Medical Center. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother ("Mimi" to those whom she may have been a little extra devoted), great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Proctor Funeral Home with Rev. David Ruehr officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jerry Slaton, David Slaton, Bill Barton, Ron McDaniel, Jonathon Whitener, and Ross McDaniel.

Ann McCorkle

Ann McCorkle, 68, of Russellville, Arkansas passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, October 15, while surrounded by members of her family. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jean and Braxton Bragg of Camden, Arkansas. She leaves a husband, Joe "Corky" McCorkle, and a daughter, Katherine Jean.

Ann was born in Malvern and was raised in Camden, Arkansas. She graduated from Camden High School and form the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville – earning a BSE in Special Education.

She served 32 years as a Special Education teacher in the State of Arkansas. She taught in Hot Springs and North Little Rock, before assuming a job as a special education teacher in the Russellville Public School System. She was a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association and the Arkansas Education Association.

In October of 1990, she married Corky. They had daughter, Katherine Jean, the following year. The two were married for 31 years.

Ann was a wonderful wife, teacher, and mother who enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, and teaching Sunday school. An avid collector of antiques, she maintained a rare collection of ceramics and pottery from the late 19th Century Staffordshire, England.

Services will be conducted at 2:00pm, Friday October 22, at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Russellville. Burial will be conducted following the service at Oakland Cemetery in Russellville.

Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to All Saints' Episcopal Church of Russellville, or to the charity of one's choice.

Visitation will be conducted from 5:00pm – 7:00pm Thursday, October 21 at Russellville Family Funeral Home in Russellville, Arkansas.
