City Council to hold monthly meeting

The Camden Board of Aldermen will hold its regulary scheduled April meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers.

Mayor Julian Lott's report will consist of a report from theOuachita Partnership for Economic Development and the Camden Downtown Network Yearly Report

In old businessOrdinance No. 02-22, an ordinance modifying the boundaries for the election for aldermen, approving the redistricting of City Wards; and for other purposes will be presented for a third reading.

Several workshops have been held about the redistricting with at least three plans presented but nothing offically adopted.

In new business:

Resolution No. 20-22, a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter into contract with the Ouachita Partnership for Economic Development (OPED) to provide certain economic development services for the City of Camden.

Resolution No. 21-22, a resolution setting a drug free workplace policy for the City of Camden, Arkansas.

Resolution No. 22-22, a resolution on the City of Camden complying with fair housing.

Resolution No. 23-22, a resolution authorizing the mayor to designate the Southwest Planning and Development District, Inc. (SWAPPD) as the project administrator over the ACEDP Grant.

Resolution No. 24-22, a resolution expressing the willingness of the City Council of the City of Camden to utilize Federal-Aid Transportation Program Funds for StreetScape improvements.

Resolution No. 25-22, a resolution expressing the willingness of the City Council of the City of Camden to utilize Federal-Aid Transportation Program Funds for TRACE Extension.

Resolution No. 26-22, a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract with the Ouachita County Cooperative Extension Service to provide educational programs.

Resolution No. 27-22, a resolution amending the Annual Operating Budget for 2022; and for other purposes.
