Due to the rising levels of COVID-19 in Ouachita County, masks will be required for students and staff at Camden Fairview School district this week.

A Facebook post from Camden Fairview School district states, "Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) data shows Camden Fairview School District at Covid-19 status level orange. For the week of January 3-7, masks will be REQUIRED during the school day in all district buildings and on all school buses. Classes will resume for students on Tuesday, January 4.

"Text and email alerts were sent out to parents/guardians earlier through E-Notes, an all-call is scheduled for later this afternoon, and the website has been updated. Reminders will be sent again before students return on Tuesday. Thanks, everyone, for your support as we work to keep our students, staff, and community safe."

MASKS REQUIRED

"YELLOW level or higher means ACHI data has the school district at a rate of 20 or above new known Covid-19 infections for the previous 14-day period per 10,000 residents. Masks will be REQUIRED during the school day in district buildings and on all school buses. Masks are optional at extracurricular events and outside sporting activities.

MASKS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED

"GREEN level or below means ACHI has the school district at rate of 19 or lower new known Covid-19 infections for the previous 14-day period per 10,000 residents. Masks are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED during the school day in district buildings and on all school buses.'
