The Camden Fairview Cardinals (11-6, 5-3) reeled off its fourth straight victory on Saturday after defeating the Crossett (8-12, 3-5) Eagles 74-59 at home. The win keeps the Cardinals in the top 4 of the conference and still eligible for the district tournament at the conclusion of the regular season.

The Cardinals were originally set to play the Eagles on Jan. 11, but the games were rescheduled due to Covid-19 within the Crossett program.

After trailing 5-0 early, CF's offense gelled early behind the activity of Jalen Dandridge and Traveon King's ability to get to the foul line and convert. King went 6/6 from the stripe in the first quarter and Jymarion Hops would account for three first-quarter steals. The home team would take an 18-11 lead into the second quarter.

That's when the Cardinals started to heat up behind the arc.

The Eagles went to zone defense as Hopson would exploit it by shooting 3/5 from the corner three. King, Dandridge and Brandon Copeland would also add threes to give the home team a 36-26 advantage at the half.

CF would continue to out-pace the athletic Eagles in the second half as JaToney McGhee and Darryl King made big contributions off the bench.

Hopson led all scorers with 22 points and six assists, followed by Dandridge with 15. Daylon Jackson and King added 11 points each.

CF will be back in action on Tuesday when travel to play the Watson Chapel Wildcats (12-8, 6-2). The Wildcats are coming off of a 55-47 loss on the road to Watson Chapel. CF fell in the two team's first meeting this season, 58-38.
