Camden Fairview has clarified the dress code for graduation stating "Seniors and senior families, this year is one of the most important times of your lives. We're proud of each of you and your accomplishments. We're sorry we fell short in making sure everyone knew exactly what the expectations were for the awards assembly yesterday and in providing support to help students meet those expectations. When we fall short, we figure out how to do better as we move forward.
"Here's how we will better honor our commitment to students, starting right now. We'll make sure expectations are clear. We'll provide more supports to ensure all students can meet those expectations. We'll refocus on inclusion and helping everyone celebrate these special events together.
"Here's the attire required for baccalaureate and graduation. Both events require students to wear their cap and gown in addition to the following attire:
"Males: You must wear a white/light colored collared shirt with a black or dark colored tie; black, navy, or grey colored dress pants; and black or brown dress shoes. (No sandals, flip flops, athletic shoes or blue jeans.)
"Females: You must wear something that will not be seen through your gown. It must not show at the top nor bottom of the gown. If dress pants are worn, they must be black, navy, or grey colored. You must also wear black or brown colored shoes. (No flip flops, athletic shoes or blue jeans.)
"Resources will be available for students who don't have the items listed above. Please arrive prior to 7:30AM on Sunday, May 8, to allow ample time for fitting of those items. Moving forward, we're committed to making sure every senior participates in baccalaureate and graduation."
