The 2023 NFL Scouting Combine was an event for former college football stars to make a name for themselves in front of NFL scouts, coaches and executives.
Several players rose their NFL Draft stock by performing workouts with great athleticism and power.
With the 2023 NFL Draft still over a month away, teams are making their final lists of prospects they wish to draft. The first round is set for April 27.
Here's the Camden News' early Draft predictions:
1. Carolina Panthers (trade with Chicago) - QB C.J. Stroud (Ohio State)
The Colts are determined to get a young, franchise quarterback and they will make a team-altering trade to do it.
2. Houston Texans - QB Bryce Young (Alabama)
Houston doesn't waste time to finally draft a franchise quarterback, perphaps the one they prefer in this draft.
3. Arizona Cardinals - Outside linebacker Will Anderson Jr. (Alabama)
J.J. Watt is retired and Arizona is set to lose Zach Allen to free agency; they need to solidify the edge.
4. Indianapolis Colts - QB Anthony Richardson (Florida)
After a stellar combine performance, Richardson's draft stock has risen. The Colts may trade for a franchise quarterback reminiscent of Cam Newton.
5. Seattle Seahawks - DT Jalen Carter (Georgia)
Seattle needs to fix their 30th-ranked (out of 32 NFL teams) rushing defense with the addition of one of the top defensive players in the Draft.
6. Detriot Lions - CB Christian Gonzalez (Oregon)
Only Tennessee and Minnesota gave up more passing yards during the season. The Lions can use this pick to add reliability to the secondary.
7. Las Vegas Raiders - QB Will Levis (Kentucky)
The Raiders are in serious need of a quarterback. Even if they draft Levis, they will need offensive guru in head coach Josh McDaniels to tune up Levis's accuracy and decision-making.
8. Atlanta Falcons - EDGE Tyree Wilson (Texas Tech)
Only the Chicago Bears accounted for the fewer sacks in the season. It's time for Atlanta to shore up its edge.
9. Chicago Bears - OT Peter Skornowski (Northwestern)
Chicago's offensive line gave up 58 sacks this past season, which is fourth-highest in the league. It is time to protect star quarterback Justin Fields in the backfield.
10. Philadelphia Eagles - CB Devon Witherspoon (Illinois)
As of Friday, March 10, the Eagles have allowed cornerback Darius Slay to seek a trade. The Eagles can get more youth in the secondary with this pick.
11. Tennessee Titans - EDGE Myles Murphy (Clemson)
The Titans are rebuilding, which includes cutting Bud Dupree. Head coach Mike Vrabel will look to bring in some talent on his roster himself.
12. Houston Texans - WR Quintin Johnson (TCU)
Houston needs a suitable set of receivers for their newly acquired franchise quarterback.
13. Green Bay Packers (via trade with New York Jets) - WR Jordan Addison (USC)
It seems inevitable that Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers gets traded to the Jets (unless he shocks everyone and retires). If the Packers do trade Rodgers, they will likely get the 13th overall pick in a package to help their passing offense.
14. New England Patriots - OT Paris Johnson (Ohio State)
The Patriots need to rebuild their offense with reliable players. Johnson can be an efficient blocker in the passing and rushing game.
15. Green Bay Packers - EDGE Lukas Van Ness (Iowa)
The Packers need to get some help in the pass rush after the defense accounted for 34 sacks last season.
16. Washington Commanders - CB Joey Porter Jr. (Penn State)
Washington is not keeping it a secret that they're meeting with the top cornerback prospects in this year's draft. Despite being fourth in the league in passing yards allowed per game, the Commanders' defense gave up 26 passing touchdowns (the tenth-most in the league).
17. Pittsburgh Steelers - CB Kelee Ringo (Georgia)
The Steelers have had trouble finding a good starting cornerback throughout the season. Cameron Sutton, the cornerback who has played and started the most games at the position, is now gone via free agency, so they need a new one.
18. Detriot Lions - EDGE Nolan Smith (Georgia)
Defensive end Aidan Hutchinson has been a terrific pass rusher this past season, but the Lions could use more support at the edge on the opposite side of the field. They could play Smith at linebacker and as a stand-up defensive end depending on the packages.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - IOL O'Cyrus Torrence (Florida)
The Buccaneers are looking to reload their roster. They will likely start with the offensive line this deep into the draft.
20. Seattle Seahawks - WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Ohio State)
Adding a third-option at receiver for their newly re-signed quarterback in Geno Smith could be a good choice for the Seahawks.
21. Los Angeles Chargers - TE Michael Mayer (Notre Dame)
The Chargers need to give quarterback Justin Herbert a reliable short-yard pass-catcher this upcoming season.
22. Baltimore Ravens - CB Denote Banks (Maryland)
The Ravens secondary needs more man-coverage outside of cornerback Marlon Humphrey. Baltimore's defense gave up the seventh-most passing yards this season.
23. Minnesota Vikings - LB Drew Sanders (Arkansas)
Minnesota has cut veteran middle linebacker Eric Kendricks and are set to release disgruntled Za'Darius Smith. They will need an established linebacker more than a man-coverage cornerback.
24. Jacksonville Jaguars - DT Bryan Bresee (Clemson)
There are not many holes on the Jaguars's defense, but the interior defensive line is their biggest gap this offseason.
25. New York Giants - WR Zay Flowers (Boston College)
There was a definitive lack of talent at the receiver position last year that kept the Giants' offense limited.
26. Dallas Cowboys - DT Calijah Kancey (Pittsburgh)
One of the Cowboys' biggest weaknesses last season was their inability to stop the run from inbetween the tackles. This is an area that needs to be addressed.
27. Buffalo Bills - S Brian Branch (Alabama)
The Bills have opted to let safety Jordan Poyer go to free agency, leaving a big hole in the secondary of the defense.
28. Cincinnati Bengals - CB Cam Smith (South Carolina)
Regardless if veteran cornerback Eli Apple returns to Cincinnati, the Bengals need help in man-coverages if they want to get back to the Super Bowl.
29. New Orleans Saints - TE Dalton Kincaid (Utah)
The Saints could upgrade their passing game more with a dynamic tight end, who rose his Draft Stock through a stellar combine performance.
30. Philadelphia Eagles - RB Bijan Robinson (Texas)
The Eagles completely abandoned the run game in Super Bowl LVII, a big reason why the offense was stale in the second half. Adding a young and elite back like Robinson in a backfield with Miles Sanders and quarterback Jalen Hurts would bring a huge boost of productivity.
31. Kansas City Chiefs - OT Anton Harrison (Oklahoma)
Star offensive tackle Orlando Brown is set to test free agency. Rather than get another veteran, the Chiefs can develop their own.
