Public Library of Camden and Ouachita County to offer eclipse viewing glasses

The Public Library of Camden and Ouachita County is excited to announce that they will be providing free eclpise glasses in time for the upcoming solar eclipse.

According to Library director Lisa Pickett there will be over 9,000 pairs to give away and distribution will start Monday, March 18. Eclipse glasses are provided by the Arkansas State Library with funding from the institute of Museum and Library Services.

The Library will also provide a Spring Break Staycation Program on eclipses on March 20 at 10 a.m.. The program will be aimed at elementary aged children. Among other activities, participants will make a ceral box eclipse view to take home. The program will be free of charge. For more information call 870-836-5083
