SAU TECH LADY ROCKETS: VICTORIOUS IN DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP, EYES SET ON NATIONAL GLORY

Amidst Women's History Month, the Lady Rockets basketball team has etched their names into the SAU Tech History book with their remarkable journey this season. The Lady Rockets basketball team has proven to be a force to be reckoned with, clinching victory after victory on their path to glory. Following their triumph in the Regional Tournament, where they displayed their skill and determination, the Lady Rockets continued their winning streak in the Central Plains District Championship against Jefferson Community College.

In a thrilling showdown the Lady Rockets showcased their prowess on the court, emerging victorious with a final score of 72 to 64. With this remarkable win, they cemented their status as the District Champions, sending waves of excitement and pride through their fans and supporters.

Their journey to success doesn't end here. The #11 SAU Tech Lady Rockets have set their sights on the NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship in Joplin, MO. The anticipation is high as they prepare to face off against formidable opponents, the #6 Mesa Thunderbirds, on March 18 at 8:00 PM CT.

A variety of items are being accepted, including water, Gatorade, Body Armor, laundry detergent, fruit, cereal bars, turkey and bread, and Bio Freeze. Your generosity will not only aid the Lady Rockets in their quest for victory but also serve as a testament to the unwavering support of their community.

As the SAU Tech Lady Rockets gear up for the challenge that lies ahead, their determination and dedication shine brightly. The Lady Rockets basketball team currently includes #1 Carson Defries, #5 Aaliyah Washington, #13 Kyra Bradley, #15 Jaida Minter, #20 Sidney Townsend, #21 Ty'Renisha Bowers, #22 Ja'Niya Harper, #23 Laila Minter, #24 Tyanna Simpson, #30 Kalea Dean, and #32 Natalya Senat.

Their coaches include Head Women's Coach Aramie Brooks as well as Assistant Coaches Marcus Copeland, Mike Davis, Courtney Page, and LaClaire Williams.
